Moncrief Willingham was founded in 1999 by Lee P. Moncrief and B.J. Willingham. The Firm combines the unique and complimentary skills of a macro top-down institutional money manager who has been focused on the energy industry for decades and the bottom-up skills of a former energy investment banker who advised energy companies since the 1970s.

The principals are "cycle-tested" professionals who have over 65 years of combined energy experience, and have developed a deep understanding of the people and operational dynamics of the energy industry that is rare in its scope. The principals believe their combined energy experience enables them to provide their clients with "Intelligent Exposure" to this significant and volatile sector of the economy.

The Firm is located in Houston, Texas, the center of the global energy industry and home to a large percentage of the companies in which the Fund invests.
